Based at Deseret Land & Livestock (northern Utah), USU scientists are performing vegetative manipulations in seral aspen and monitoring responses in soil/water relations, genetic composition, understory vegetation, and stand structure.
WAA conducts a number of management oriented field excursions each year throughout the western United States. Aspen summits allow managers and researchers to strategize over immediate and long-term research needs.
